It is with great sadness that I share new of the death of the great dulcimer player and friend David Schnaufer this past Wednesday of cancer. He was a wonderful musician and gentle, colorful character who will be greatly missed. This photo comes from an impromptu recording session we did a few years ago in his Nashville living room, playing "Amazing Grace" on an old courting dulcimer (click to enlarge).
